Richie's Surgery and Recovery

This past week has been one Richie has been waiting for! On Tuesday, he had a total replacement of his left knee. He had been needing one for a while, and this summer has struggled with the pain of an arthritic knee. His surgery was Tuesday, and I am happy to report that he is doing pretty good! His doctor said the surgery went well and he came home on Friday afternoon. Friday night was kind of rough, but since then, has been improving daily! Not to say its been a breeze, but he is getting up and around with "Mr. Walker" and manuveuring to the bathroom, bedroom and family room without much difficulty. Both the home nurse and therapist said he was doing really well, and they will be working with him frequently over the next few weeks. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks!
